Welcome to Auburn University Medical Clinic (AUMC) - one of the best college health centers in the country. Our mission is to provide high-quality, efficient and convenient health care with compassion, dedication and professionalism. We strive to provide consistent service to our patients, exceeding their expectations at every encounter by being flexible, remaining competitive and focusing on the holistic needs of every patient.

AUMC provides medical services on a fee-for-service basis, meaning you pay for medical services only when you use them. East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC), located only 15 minutes away from the campus, has partnered with AUMC to provide professional medical services and management. EAMC is a 340-bed, acute care regional referral center with more than 335 physicians on its medical staff and more than 3,500 employees.

More than 75 percent of the University's students are covered on their parents' medical plans or have other medical insurance. We have contracts with most of the major insurance companies and will file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients. For those who have high deductible plans or restrictive HMO coverage, the Student Government Association has a Student Health Insurance policy to meet the basic medical needs. It includes coverage for office visits to AUMC with the payment of a co-pay. We also work with those patients who are uninsured to provide medical services by setting up appropriate payment plans and options.

Our 'customers' have the freedom of choice and can seek care anywhere. Knowing that, we are committed to providing the kind of professional, caring, efficient and convenient service that our customers will want to use. The ultimate measure of our success is the satisfaction of the customers for whom services are provided and the satisfaction of the Auburn University community. To that end, we have assembled an exceptional team of physicians, certified registered nurse practitioners, certified physician assistants, registered nurses, technicians and administrative staff who are committed to delivering the personalized service we all still want and deserve.

In 2005, we moved into our new state of the art facility with 40 exams rooms, digitized x-rays and cutting edge lab equipment that rivals the best primary care clinics in the industry for efficiency and design. Also housed in our facility are Student Counseling Services, the Student Pharmacy operated by the Harrison School of Pharmacy, the Miller Clinic providing chiropractic care, and a professional Massage Therapy center.

In addition to serving the AU student population, we also provide health care services for members of the Auburn University administration, faculty and staff along with citizens from the surrounding community and visitors to the area. Our philosophy is to serve as a patient advocate, which obligates us to empower patients to better manage their health needs through education and skill development. We are prevention-oriented and seek to work with patients so that they can better understand their health care needs. Each contact is a teachable moment, an opportunity to increase a patient’s knowledge and understanding of their medical concerns, an opportunity to assist them in developing skills to self-direct their behavior to prevent recurrences, and an opportunity to encourage self-health skills so that our patients can be better-informed consumers of an increasingly complex health care system.

Change is occurring, but we believe it is positive and progressive, and it is most certainly patient-centered.
