The Africa Initiative

The Auburn University Africa Initiative was implemented in 2010 with the creation of six working groups in the areas of Business Development and Trade; Education and Capacity Building; Energy, Water, and Environment; Food Security and Sustainability; Global Health; and Science and Technology. These working groups were formed to connect faculty members at Auburn who are involved or interested in conducting research or participating in capacity building initiatives in Africa. Over sixty faculty members are part of these groups, allowing for interdisciplinary collaboration across campus.
