Kelly P. Strickland
Associate Clinical Professor
Mrs. Strickland earned her BSN degree from Samford University in 2009. She worked as an RN in cardiovascular inpatient and outpatient services before earning her MSN from Samford University in 2016. She joined the AUCON faculty as an assistant clinical professor in July of 2016. She is the Community Liaison and teaches Community Health across the BSN curriculum. She is passionate about developing and maintaining meaningful community-based clinical partnerships and strategic outreach efforts.
Mrs. Strickland is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in Nursing (STTI), the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE), the Rural Nurse Organization (RNO), the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association (DDNA), and the Alliance for Disability in Health Care Education (ADHCE). At Auburn, she serves on the Graduation Committee. Within the College of Nursing, she serves on the Outreach, Curriculum, and Diversity and Inclusion committees. She serves as a faculty advisor for the Initiative for Representation in Nursing (IRN). Her scholarship and outreach efforts are devoted to improving the health and wellness of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
