Clubs and Organizations

Auburn University School of Nursing offers student engagement through various clubs and organizations. Becoming a part of a student organization is one of the most powerful ways to shape our community and your future.

Graduate Nursing Organization

The Auburn University College of Nursing (AUCON) Graduate Nursing Organization provides a forum for students to socialize and promote governance of the Graduate Programs (MSN Nurse Educator, MSN Nurse Practitioner, Post-MSN Graduate Certificates, DNP, and PhD Programs). All students are able to join with no cost to support the mission of Auburn University and AUCON. We create opportunities for professional development, promote loyalty to the profession, increase understanding and cooperation between faculty and students, and promote innovation and continuous improvement in the Graduate Programs. At the start of the curriculum, we initiate faculty or student-led online meetings to initiate communication, participation in professional organizations, presentation/dissemination opportunities, scholarship prospects to support professional growth (e.g. conference, medical missions), and networking events. If interested, please contact faculty mentors, Dr. Gibson-Young @ gibsolm@auburn.edu or Dr. Amy Pridemore @ als0148@auburn.edu

Student Nurses Association

The mission of Auburn University Student Nurses Association (AUSNA) is to foster the professional development of nursing students who are prepared to lead the profession in their future career. Guest speakers in the nursing profession help to convey the ethics and standards of the nursing profession as well as give insight into various fields within the practice of nursing. The AUSNA supports the community through health promotion events, such as health screenings, community education efforts, and fundraisers. AUSNA hosts activities throughout the school year for students and faculty to help foster relationships, provide encouragement and guidance. AUSNA sponsors a Mentor-Mentee program as an excellent way to connect with older students, ask questions, prepare for interviews and life as a student nurse. SNA provides opportunities for students to give back to the community, gain leadership experience, and create a connected environment at AUSON.
