The Pediatric and NICU Club recently collaborated with the Auburn University Panhellenic Council for a donation initiative associated with National Foster Care Awareness Month. The initiative aimed to support children in foster care throughout Alabama.
Pediatric & NICU club members and the AU Panhellenic collected and donated thousands of personal hygiene items. These supplies were distributed to several organizations, including Big House Foundation, Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries, and other foster care programs in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.
The Pediatric and NICU Club also worked with Jeanne Marie, a foster care advocate and influencer, who assisted in distributing items in the Tuscaloosa area. She organized toiletry bags for teens entering foster care and provided supplies to families in a local family preservation unit.
This initiative is part of the Pediatric and NICU Club’s activities supporting children and families in Alabama. The club acknowledges all participants for their involvement in this project.
