Hannah Peacock has been with AUCON since 2023. A native of California, she relocated to Georgia to support her husband's career progression. Before moving to Georgia, she served as a Senior Admissions Representative at a private college in California, where she assisted students applying to upper-division professional nursing programs, graduate nursing programs, and teacher credentialing programs.

At AUCON, Peacock’s responsibilities include undergraduate recruitment, planning pinning ceremonies, scholarship administration, First Year Seminar instruction, organizing family meetings and tours, scheduling high school HOSA visits with teachers and lab staff, co-advising AUCON Ambassadors, representing AUCON at admissions events such as Prospective Student Receptions, War Eagle Days, TALONS Days, and Destination Auburn event, and providing preliminary transcript evaluations and course advising.

Since joining AUCON, her role has shifted significantly, consolidating responsibilities previously assigned to other advisors into one main position. “This has allowed for expanded recruitment efforts,” she stated, noting that this has included organizing visits for prospective students, teaching UNIV 1150 courses, and developing relationships with HOSA partnerships at high schools across Alabama and Georgia. “Additionally, there is increased collaboration in the scholarship administration process to effectively award undergraduate and graduate scholarships, with contributions from AUCON staff and faculty, aiming to maximize their impact on students.”

According to Peacock, the faculty and staff foster a supportive and collaborative environment.

“AUCON features a truly engaged group of staff and faculty who share a deep passion for supporting our students and a strong desire to see them succeed academically, personally, and professionally.

“Colleagues played a crucial role in my smooth transition into this new position, offering valuable feedback and professional development opportunities from the beginning. They were approachable and supportive in helping me understand the job’s responsibilities, while granting me the autonomy to shape the role to my vision. My supervisor, Mrs. Hennessey, has been exceptionally supportive and empowering. She has been immensely helpful in my ongoing development and evolution in this role, and I am optimistic that our recruitment efforts will continue to improve.”

Outside of work, Peacock finds joy in baking, reading, drinking coffee, and exploring local community events with her daughter and husband. She and her husband are actively involved in their church and weekly host a small group out of their house.
