On May 2, Nancy Harrelson will be recognized for completing Aspire Auburn’s Leading People program, a key part of the Supervisor Pathways Trailblazer initiative.
Supervisor Pathways, launched by AU Human Resources in 2020, aims to help supervisors acquire essential skills and behaviors for effective management. This program focuses on equipping Auburn employees to manage AU’s most valuable asset—its people.
The two-year program is designed to develop supervisors into skillful problem solvers, conflict managers, coaches, and motivators. Participants of this program acquire abilities essential for effective supervision by exemplifying excellence in communication, teamwork, collaboration, performance management, and demonstrating respect for Auburn’s diverse working community. The Pathway comprises three equally critical components: Coursework, a Community of Practice, and a Pathways Project.
The program features a series of classes tailored specifically for Auburn. These sessions are complimentary and accessible to all faculty and staff, spanning multiple years. Additionally, participants will be part of a community of practice focused on collaboration and the exchange of information and best practices concerning supervision at Auburn.
Congratulations to Nancy Harrelson for her outstanding achievement! She enrolled in the program in May 2022, successfully completing 26 training courses and actively participating in the weekly community of practice with other leaders across the University.
