Assistant Clinical Professor Seth Perry joined the team of faculty and staff in the EAGLES Center in March 2022. He graduated with a bachelor’s (2016) and a master’s degree in nursing (2021) from Auburn. He is a certified healthcare simulation educator, a credentialed granted by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Following graduation, Perry began his career at Children’s of Alabama in 2016 and garnered a background in pediatric behavioral health, inpatient pediatric pulmonary care, and clinical simulation education.

Perry worked as a nurse educator at Children's of Alabama in the Pediatric Simulation Center. As his interest in simulation developed, he took a course through the Center for Medical Simulation in 2020 and several simulation courses through the Office of Interprofessional Simulation for Innovative Clinical Practice at UAB.

As a new faculty member in an academic setting, he hopes to contribute to the development of intelligent, well-trained and dedicated nurses. He would like his students to have new experiences that they potentially would not get in a real clinical setting.

Perry is a certified pediatric nurse and a member of the International Society for Simulation in Healthcare and the International Pediatric Simulation Society. His research and education interests include healthcare for queer patients, nursing remediation, simulation education, and pediatrics. At AUCON, he serves on the Clinical Committee, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the Daisy Award Committee.

We welcome Seth Perry to AUCON!
