MISSION

The mission of Auburn University Women in Technology (AUWIT) is to build a robust technical community by dismantling inequities, fueling belonging, and inspiring women as they advance their careers through internal and external outreach, mentorship, and leadership.

VISION

The Women in Technology interest group at Auburn University (AUWIT) is comprised of team members of OIT, Distributed IT, and tech leaders from other departments. AUWIT welcomes women and anyone who considers themselves an ally for promoting women in technology from these teams. A common interest unites members with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ages in making the technology field more inclusive, diverse, and supportive. We wish to improve networking opportunities for women in technology, help create a supportive and welcoming culture, and grow and encourage women leaders.

COMMUNITY

By fostering a community of women and their their allies among different technical and business majors, we are creating a group of women with similar academic and professional interest that can mentor to and learn from each other, making long lasting connections.

EDUCATION

By educating the community that we are fostering, we are exposing both career and student AU WIT members to different aspects of technology and business and promoting growth on not only the group level, but the individual member level as well.
