Description

Established in 2000 with the acquisition of our first ABI 3100 DNA Genetic Analyzer, the Genomics & Sequencing Laboratory (GSL) provides a number of nucleic acid analysis services including DNA sequencing, DNA array analysis, and quantitative PCR. These services were established to aid researchers performing studies in a multitude of disciplines including genetics, molecular biology, and systematics to name just a few. All of our services are available to researchers both on and off the Auburn University campus. The facility offers access to a a state-of-the-art HiSeq 1500 from Illumina for next- generation DNA sequencing. This complements the 2 ABI 3100 and 1 ABI 3130 instruments used for Sanger sequencing, fragment analysis and SNP analysis.
