Description
The Auburn University Museum of Natural History contains ~54,000 specimens of flowering plants, gymnosperms and pteridophytes, ~1000 specimens of bryophytes and lichens, and ~2000 specimens of fungi. The Herbarium is the largest in Alabama, being richest in specimens from central portions of the state, and provides assistance in identifying plant specimens, locating specimen information, and answering general questions about native plants from Alabama and the Southeast.
