On April 13, Mecy Calloway was awarded the university’s most prestigious awards. The President’s Award recognizes one student in each school or college who has completed at least three semesters at Auburn with a minimum grade point average of 3.4, and possess outstanding qualities of leadership, citizenship, character and promise of professional ability.

Calloway, who will be graduating this semester, said, “I am extremely grateful to receive this honor and I am honored to be nominated by the nursing faculty to not only be a representative of this award but also the school of nursing. I am happy that the nursing faculty saw me as a student that possesses exemplary qualities of character, citizenship, and promise as a professional nurse.”

Please join the faculty, staff and students at the School of Nursing and congratulate Mecy Calloway on her 2021 President’s Award – the recognition is richly-deserved.

The President's Award is the highest award for undergraduate students and is presented to a graduating student whose accomplishments during their undergraduate years are truly exceptional and reflect the highest ideals of Auburn University.
