Outreach Global Collaboration in Ghana, West Africa
Auburn University’s School of Nursing students and faculty members Dr. Valarie Thomas, Associate Clinical Professor and Mr. David Crumbley, Associate Clinical Professor in conjunction with Outreach Global recently traveled to Ghana, West Africa to provide free healthcare clinics to residents in the Sekondi Community. The clinics featured nursing students Cara Borowski, Hannah Bush, Joshua Gooch, Stephen Hill, Kendall Weber, Ashley Westberry, Catherine Wilkinson, and Katie Valentine who provided comprehensive screenings of ears, eyes, blood pressure, glucose testing, urine testing and general health examinations. The goal is to promote health and wellness, good nutrition and eating habits among Sekondi citizens and underserved communities.
