Margot W Fox

Assistant Clinical Professor
Margot Fox received a BSN from the Auburn University College of Nursing in 1986 and a MSN in Nurse Education from the joint Auburn University/AUM program in 2013. She began her career as a staff nurse in Orthopedics and Neurology in Asheville, North Carolina and later served as a community resource nurse for one of the first health information and referral services in the NC area. Following a move back to her hometown of Alexander City, Alabama in 1990, Mrs. Fox began a twelve-year career as an occupational health nurse in the textile industry. Mrs. Fox joined the AUCON faculty in 2014 as an assistant clinical professor and is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE). She currently is a member of the AUCON Alumni Board and Sigma International Nursing Honor Society. For several years after joining the AUCON faculty, Mrs. Fox served as the community health coordinator and facilitated outreach and service-learning opportunities for our nursing students as they served populations throughout Lee and surrounding counties. In 2015, she co-developed and coordinated the school’s first Summer High School Nursing Camp. The annual camp is an engaging one-week summer program designed to introduce campers from across the country to the field of nursing through “hands-on” stations led by faculty and undergraduate students. Mrs. Fox is now assigned to all undergraduate Skills Labs and is a member of the EAGLES Simulation Center team. She loves facilitating foundational learning and confidence-building experiences for our future nurses in the state-of-the-art interactive educational environments offered at AUSON.
