Christopher Martin

Assistant Clinical Professor
Dr. Christopher (Chris) Martin teaches pharmacology and professional practices courses in the undergraduate nursing program. Dr. Martin earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University in 2012 and his Master of Science in Nursing from Samford University with a focus in Healthcare Management and Leadership in 2015. He began his career as a staff nurse on the Coronary Care Unit at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. After a short stint working as a clinical director for a hospitalist group, Chris served as the Director of Nursing Education and Staff Development at Grandview Medical Center, where he oversaw all nursing education functions. Chris returned to his alma mater in August 2019 and serves on the Inclusion/Diversity and Admission, Progression & Graduation (APG) committees. Chris also serves as the College of Nursing Representative to the Auburn University Senate and the Diversity Leaders Roundtable. In 2022, Chris graduated from William Carey University with a PhD in Nursing Education and Administration. He is a member of the American Association of Men in Nursing and SIGMA International. Dr. Martin also serves in the uniformed services as an Assistant Nurse Officer in the United States Public Health Service Reserve Commissioned Corps.
