April Love
Assistant Clinical Professor
Ms. Love joined the College of Nursing faculty as part of the E.A.G.L.E.S Center team in 2023. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Auburn, she obtained nursing licensure through the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Accelerated Master’s in Nursing Pathway (AMNP). She worked first as a Labor & Delivery nurse and then as a clinical educator for the postpartum unit/wellborn nursery at UAB Hospital. During that time, she also served as a clinical associate for both Auburn and UAB nursing schools and taught community prenatal education classes. She entered academia fulltime as an Instructor with the UAB School of Nursing in 2017, primarily teaching prelicensure students in their fundamentals and obstetrics classes. In 2020, she was honored to receive the Alabama League for Nursing’s (ALN) Excellence in Teaching Award. Ms. Love’s current role focuses on supporting active learning strategies and simulation for nursing education both in and outside of the classroom.
