Clinical Associate Supervisor
Stacey Tarnowski-Jones joined the faculty of the Auburn University College of Nursing as a Clinical Associate Supervisor in 2026. Her teaching focus includes critical care nursing and clinical instruction. She brings extensive clinical expertise to the academic setting, supporting student development in clinical judgment, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) before pursuing graduate education at Auburn University. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Nurse Practitioner program, with a certificate in Nursing Education and a certificate in Rural Health. Her educational preparation reflects a strong commitment to advancing nursing practice, education, and healthcare access in underserved communities.
Stacey has more than 15 years of diverse clinical experience, including work in intensive care, progressive care, perioperative services, and emergency nursing. She currently maintains active clinical practice in critical care, ensuring her teaching remains grounded in evidence-based practice and contemporary clinical standards. She also provides instructional support in simulation-based learning activities as part of the College’s clinical education program.
Her scholarly and professional interests include nursing education, clinical competency development, rural health, patient safety, and evidence-based teaching strategies. She is committed to preparing competent, compassionate, and practice-ready nurses through innovative, student-centered learning environments.
