April 2016 Events

                                      April 11 - Q&A Panel - Sexual Assault in the LGBT Community - 6 pm - Haley Center 2370
                                      April 14 - The Hunting Ground Screening - 6 pm - Haley Center 2182
                                      April 18-19 - These Hands Don't Hurt - 10 am-2 pm - Haley Concourse
                                      April 19 - Q&A Panel - Sexual Assault and People of Color - 6 pm - Haley Center 2182
                                      April 27 - Denim Day

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), and includes a series of events throughout the month, which can include:

  • Red Flag Campaign - Informs about red flags in relationships
  • These Hands Don't Hurt Campaign - A 3-day interactive event where participants are invited to leave a hand print on a canvas as a visual pledge not to use their hands to hurt others 
  • The Clothesline Project - A 2-day event during which individuals affected by violence and sexual assault are encouraged to express themselves through decorated t-shirts which are displayed in front of Cater Hall
  • Take Back the Night - A march and rally featuring a candlelight vigil and speakers
