Contributing to Auburn Research

The mission of the Auburn University Research Development Office is to raise the private support required to move the university toward its vision of becoming one of the nation's top research institutions.

The Auburn University Research Development Office is committed to leveraging existing funding streams as well as securing new sources of support for the people and programs in the Auburn’s schools and colleges where there is ongoing outstanding achievement, as well as for a group of new key initiatives which have been prioritized in the Auburn University Strategic Plan.  These initiatives fall within the major focus areas of Auburn Research, which are aligned with state and national priorities:

  • Health Sciences
  • Commerce and Security
  • Energy and the Environment
  • Transportation

Through their philanthropy and leadership, the research advisory board, alumni and friends work with the Auburn University Development Office to assist in moving Auburn University closer to its goal of becoming a tier-one research institution.
