How do I get involved in UPC?

UPC committee applications are available each fall right before school starts and due the second week of school with interviews to follow.  Council applications are available in February each spring and interviews take place in March.

How can I give my input for UPC?

UPC is constantly looking for student feedback through our online surveys and through feedback received on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AuburnUPC ) or through our Twitter account (@AuburnUPC).  These are both great ways to give your input.  You can also email us at upc@auburn.edu or stop by our office in the Student Center Suite 3130 to give us your feedback.

Where can I find up-to-date information about UPC and UPC events?

The best place to find up-to-date information is our Facebook page and Twitter.  These are updated constantly and will have accurate and reliable information.  Also, our office will have up-to-date information.

Where is the UPC office located?

The UPC office is located on the third floor of the Auburn University Student Center in Suite 3130.  Please ask the front desk for which offices are specifically ours.

How does UPC choose events to bring to Auburn’s campus?

Many of our events are first recommended by students through our surveys and social media accounts.  After we have a list of possible artists, speakers, comedians, or ideas; various UPC committees research possible artists and events for their availability.  If available and within our price range, they create a list of artists.  Once this has been compiled, we contact the agency responsible for the artist or search for the resources needed for an event.  From there, the committees work with the agency or company to draw up contracts for the events.

For events that do not center on a singular artist, the committees plan the event and contact the appropriate venders needed to execute the events.  Once an available date has been chosen, the booking of these venders can be solidified.

How does UPC get funding for its events?

UPC, along with nine other Student Activity Projects, are allocated a certain amount of money from the Student Government Association each fall for the coming fiscal year.  This money comes from the student activity fee that each and every Auburn student pays as part of their tuition

Do I have to be an Auburn student to attend UPC events?

Yes, since only students are charged the Student Activity Fee only students are allowed to come to events.  

Are Faculty and Staff allowed to attend events?

Faculty and Staff are allowed to come to certain events.  Due to the simple fact that students have priority, not all events will be open to faculty and staff.  Please check with our office located in the Student Center suite 3130 for information on which events are open.
