Auburn University School of Nursing is committed to bringing you accurate, timely information surrounding the coronavirus and COVID-19. This, our fourth two-part episode addressing the pandemic, the Nurse Narrative focuses on the health inequities we see in our healthcare system.

The first episode is a two-minute statement on Nurse Narrative Team's stance on social justice, racism, and health equity.

The second episode is an interview with Dr. Marie Charles, an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Pace University in NYC. Dr. Charles shares her experience as a patient with COVID-19. She addresses health disparities and gives practical action steps for moving towards health equity.

Charles is the vice president of the Health Education Action League for Haiti (H.E.A.L., Haiti), and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the NY Branch of the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (AHRC).
