The Auburn NICU and Infant Health Unification club partnered with the East Alabama Health NICU to help families get in the Halloween spirit. Associate clinical professor, Dr. Ann Lambert is the faculty sponsor for the club which currently has over 200 members. “This is our first annual AU Boo in the NICU and we are so happy to serve our community in this way,” Lambert said.
The club’s members created over 25 costumes and donated them to the unit. Parents were able to pick from a wide variety of costumes for their baby to wear on Halloween. Parents and nurses loved the costumes and club members are looking forward to partnering again with the unit next year! Click here to see some costumes.
Savannah Kubala in nursing and Jamie Rainer, biomedical sciences student organized the costume making activity. Students enjoyed working together and competing for prizes such as most original idea and most creative costume.
Currently, the NICU club has members represent many majors including nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, child life, pre -med, and social work. The club welcomes Auburn students with any major to join.
