Auburn University Human Resources is featuring Christopher Martin, assistant clinical professor in Auburn’s School of Nursing. Martin is the third employee to be featured on the “Working for Auburn” website.

Chris Martin earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University in 2012. He began his career as a staff RN on the Coronary Care Unit at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. After a short stint working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Martin completed his Master of Science in Nursing from Samford University with a focus in Healthcare Management and Leadership.

Martin returned to his alma mater in Aug. 2019. He currently serves on the Inclusion and Diversity and Admission, Progression & Graduation, or APG, committees. He also serves as the School of Nursing representative to the Auburn University Senate and is one of the hosts of “Nurse Narrative,” the Auburn School of Nursing podcast.

Prior to joining the AUSON faculty, he served as the Director of Nursing Education and Staff Development at Grandview Medical Center, where he oversaw all nursing education functions. Martin is a member of the American Association of Men in Nursing and SIGMA International.
