Graduate Student EBP Award Winners

The Student Symposium Awards Ceremony was held on April 18th and the top awards for the Evidence-based Practice posters were:

  • 1st Place:  April Young – “Evidence-based Practice for an Asthma Action Plan”
  • 2nd Place: Kimberly Jones – “Enhancing Education to improve Patient Self-management of Heart Failure Symptoms”
  • 3rd Place: Ruth McCullough – “Improved Management of Hypertension with Scheduled Follow-up from the Emergency Department”

This is Research: Student Symposium 2016 was held on April 13, 2016 at the Student Center and is a place where Auburn University’s Graduate and Undergraduate students share their research and scholarly projects. The AU/AUM joint MSN program prepares both Family Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Educators and complete the three-semester course in Evidence-based Practice in the Spring Semester under the direction of Faculty Advisors, Drs. Kathy J Ellison, Bonnie Sanderson, and Cam Hamilton.  We were proud to have 55 graduate nursing students who presented their evidence-based practice posters at the symposium this year.
