Resources for Students, Employees, and Family and Friends

At Auburn University, we care about supporting all students, employees, and others who are impacted by sexual misconduct, whether you may be the victim of an offense or accused of an offense. There are a number of resources available on campus and in the community to assist with various needs.

If you are a family member, friend or supporter of someone impacted by sexual misconduct, please visit I Want to Support Someone for additional information.

Often family members want information from the university about their student’s specific situation. However, Auburn University is limited by law in discussing details of reports with family members without signed authorized consent from the student. While what we can disclose is limited by our legal responsibilities to student privacy, we can speak generally with family members about process, procedures, and available resources/options for your student. To learn more about the laws that define the university’s responsibility to student privacy, the following links may be helpful: Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
