Membership Specialist Loves Tours, Auburn and Mickey Mouse

When it comes to giving a tour in Auburn of Jordan-Hare Stadium or The Recreation and Wellness Center, there is nobody better than Kelli Bagwell.

Bagwell, who has worked for Campus Recreation since 2010, is a Membership Specialist Supervisor and has fallen in love not only with the facility, but also with the people that come in each and every day.

“My favorite thing about working in the Recreation and Wellness Center is the relationships you make with the patrons, student staff and professional staff. There is always someone to interact with and speak to,” Bagwell said.

So how did Bagwell become such an expert of tours? Just ask Mickey Mouse and company.

“In Fall 2011, I applied for the Disney College Program and was offered an 8-month internship for the Walt Disney World Orlando Resort. I worked Main Entrance Operations for Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom and it was a life changing experience,” Bagwell said

“With the Disney Company, you receive training in how to portray customer service excellence which has helped me grow personally and professionally.”

Bagwell said she was able to meet people from all over the world, and that she even had several “War Eagle Moments” while working at Disney.

“Those moments helped me realize how strong and special the Auburn Family truly is,” Bagwell said.

So when the Disney star isn’t singing “It’s a small world” or at the Recreation and Wellness Center, she is most likely wowing guests at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“Numerous former players come back to visit and I have given tours to players like Rudi Johnson and Carnell Williams,” Bagwell said.

But it doesn’t stop there for Bagwell, who just also happens to make time for Auburn Baseball, where she is the Public Relations Officer for the Diamond Dolls.

Make time for a tour and catch up with Kelli Bagwell at the Recreation and Wellness Center.
