Amedisys Hospice serves terminally ill patients in ten counties. Volunteers provide an invaluable service just by being a companion to the patient or giving their family a break by staying with the patient so they can run errnads or rest. Activities with patients, like reading and writing letters, playing games, participating in pet therapy, scrapbooking or other crafts – and just plain companionship. Helping with household activities like running errands, arranging flowers, walking pets or other tasks to help keep things running smoothly. No medical experience is required. Flexible schedules.
