Apply to SKILL

SKILL is a fee-for-service academic support program for undergraduate students with documented evidence of learning differences and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. SKILL includes weekly coaching sessions, averaging 50 minutes, which focus on: study skills, time management, decision making, organization, planning, effective and professional communication and academic progress monitoring.

Students enrolled in SKILL must also be eligible for accommodations through the Office of Accessibility; however, SKILL is an optional fee based service and is not considered an accommodation. Fees are $1200 per semester.

Steps to Apply to SKILL

  1. Complete this application and return it to skill@auburn.edu
  2. Upon receipt of the application, the Program Director will email the student and parents/guardians an intake assessment, as well as to set up the initial interview.
  3. Because enrollment in SKILL is contingent upon eligibility for accommodations with the Office of Accessibility, students with documented learning differences and/or ADHD must submit documentation to the Office of Accessibility. The Office of Accessibility reviews the documentation and determines eligibility for accommodations. For more information on the Office of Accessibility, visit accessibility.auburn.edu.
