My Camp War Eagle Visit
How to schedule an appointment with the Office of Accessibility during my CWE visit?
Contact our main office at (334) 844-2096 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where are you located?
Our office is located in the Haley Center, the tallest building on campus, across from the football stadium and the Student Center. If you enter Haley through the south entrance across from the Student Center, approach the elevators and take a right toward the 1200 corridor. We are at the very end of the hall to the left in 1228. If you get lost, please do not hesitate to call us at 844-2096.
What kind of documentation is needed?
Do I need to bring my documentation?
Not necessarily, but we encourage students to submit information as soon as possible. There are no deadlines for submitting medical documentation, but accommodations cannot be applied retroactively. It would be preferable to provide documentation to our office early so we can meet and establish accommodations before classes begin in August.
Will my accommodations be established during my visit?
Possibly. If we have already reviewed and approved your documentation, we can start the conversation about specific accommodations.
Will I receive priority registration?
Not for the initial Fall Registration. However, if your documentation supports a Priority Registration accommodation, we can discuss this for future semesters.
Do you advise on scheduling?
No. All questions about scheduling should be discussed with the student’s Academic Advisor.
I have a mobility impairment that makes it difficult for me to travel long distances. Can I get assistance during the camp?
Please contact First Year Experience at 334-844-4501. They have a golf cart and a minivan available to to help you move around campus.
I have a parent with a mobility impairment. How can they get assistance?
Parents and guests should contact First Year Experience at 334-844-4501 or by finding a Camp War Eagle staff member to discuss what needs they might have. They will make every effort to accommodate them to the best of their ability.
